This is a handmade brass soup spoon by Japanese metalworker Rieko Fujimoto. Unlike a mass produced spoon this piece has been hammered in to shape completely by hand.
Working in this manner leaves slight markings and ripples on the surface of the metal that look incredible under the light, reminding you of the hours of work that has gone into creating this form. This item is both light and strong and is perfect for soup thanks to its concave bowl.
